Estel Children’s Centre is a Christian-focused relief and development organization. It was begun by a group of compassionate Christian believers who wanted to help orphans and street youth.
At Estel, children have access to education, medical care, and basic necessities. They participate in vocational training and may be re-integrated with their closest relatives upon reaching adulthood, under careful supervision. Estel serves a neighbourhood comprised of makeshift housing, where many individuals have one room to live in.
The organization recognizes that the number of street children in Kenya has affected the country's economy and development. In city slums, families often leave children to fend for themselves. Without the care of a parent, they may engage in crime, substance abuse or sex work. Estel is determined to help every underprivileged child enjoy their rights and act morally.
