Vineyard Children's Home was founded by Margaret Muthoni Muigai to give hope to the most vulnerable, destitute and orphaned children. However lack of resources has seen the orphanage struggle to keep up with the needs. During LTC visit, we found that the children were living in a difficult environment, there were no beds, they barely afford daily meals and even had to cook from outside. At the moment, all children are brought to the center by well wishers, local chief and some by the Children department. Through a private donor and Lift the Children, challenges of sleeping rooms, food, health and other well being of children is being catered for. The private donor has been put in direct contact with the orphanage and LTC continues to train and equip them with necessary skills to improve their standing. This means, LTC monitors progress and update the donor accordingly.  Vineyard Children home has also been enrolled into a network where the founder can access various other centers and learn from them. This will enhance the  quality of care Vineyard provides.
