Chembe Joyous Children’s Home was founded in 2012 by Madam Joyce Kalama in Malindi to provide a safe haven for vulnerable children. What began as a response to families seeking food and support grew into a dedicated home offering accommodation, education, and medical care. With the help of well-wishers and local authorities, the home transitioned from a small apartment to its own land, where it now supports 24 children. An additional 15 reintegrated children continue to receive education and basic support. Driven by the vision to break cycles of poverty, the home strives to create brighter futures for every child.
