Borto Deseret was founded by Mrs. Quita Bemah Kialain, whose mission was to provide a home and school for underprivileged children in her community. Her organization also offers parenting classes, health services, and Early Childhood Education programs for needy rural families. It addresses challenges that lie beyond the scope of international relief organizations.

Currently, Borto Deseret is eager to create income-generating projects to help sustain their child program. In addition, the orphanage would like to establish local and national networks for program development.
