True Care Newday Center is a newly established safe haven for teenage mothers in Dagoretti Sub-County, founded in 2023 to support young mothers who have experienced sexual violence and early motherhood. Referred to Lift the Children by the Dagoretti Sub-County Children’s Officer, the center is recognized for its impactful work despite limited resources. Currently, it supports 20 girls and their babies, helping them reintegrate into school while providing counseling, childcare, and vocational skills training through partnerships with local organizations. Inspired by her own struggles in accessing education, the founder is committed to giving young mothers a second chance at a brighter future. However, the center faces challenges, including financial constraints for rent, food, medical care, and education support.
