Soon Children Home Was Founded in the year 1994 and started as a feeding program to needy families and children, especially street children and families.

In 1996 Soon moved to Kasarani sub-county and continued with the same feeding program until 1999 when we had many children who were abandoned and neglected,  some with HIV. That is when it was recommended to start a rescue room as we searched for the parents and relatives of these abandoned children. Within our feeding program, we also train and counsell parents and over 18 year old youth on small skill business. We also work to reintegrat the lucky ones with their biological parents/relatives.

Soon Children's Home is located where its surrounding is within the slums. Most parents are single parents and many are addicted to drugs/alcohol. Children are left to care for themselves and are extremely vulnerable.
